Appraisal Review


USPAP defines appraisal review as “the process of developing an opinion about the quality of another appraiser’s work… that was performed as part of an appraisal or appraisal review assignment.” (USPAP 2024, Definitions)

Capital Art Group founder Maria Tarrence will be accredited with the Appraisal Review and Management (ARM) designation by the American Society of Appraisers (September 2024). With this designation, she provides credible and objective appraisal reviews written in compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.

Appraisal review reports may be written:
- to conclude compliance or non-compliance with USPAP
- with or without opinions of value
- for an appraisal, part of an appraisal, or another appraisal review

Appraisal review reports are often used in:
- litigation
- insurance or legal disputes
- loss claims
